Realme introduced the realme 12 Pro series earlier this year in January, featuring a design inspired by luxury watches. Today, on April 1st, the company has unveiled the “AIGC Elimination” feature for the series, which will be gradually made available through OTA updates.
Innovative Image Editing Feature
Realme's latest feature allows users to effortlessly eliminate unwanted objects or individuals from their images. By accessing the “AIGC Elimination” option within the editing menu, users can simply circle the object they wish to remove. The AI-powered system will then automatically detect and delete the selected object. Realme reports that this AI feature has already commenced its rollout in the US and Japan.
Understanding AIGC Technology
The acronym AIGC stands for Artificial Intelligence Generative Content, indicating that this function leverages an image model to operate. However, the company has not disclosed additional specifics, such as whether this feature functions on the device itself or relies on an online server.
If the image model operates on the server side, the phone will require an internet connection to utilize the feature. Notably, the Realme GT5 Pro already includes the AIGC feature.
