Porsche Design smartphone teased by CEO, hinting at honor

Honor's Magic 6 Series to Include Porsche Design Variant

Honor, the popular smartphone brand, has officially named its upcoming flagship smartphone lineup as the Magic 6 series. These devices, as previously announced in October, will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. While there have been rumors and leaks about the Magic 6 series, specific details are still scarce.

Recently, Honor CEO Zhao Ming, also known as George Zhao, posted pictures on Weibo with a Porsche executive, hinting at a special variant of the premium phone. The caption of the post reads, "the future is promising." This suggests that Honor may be collaborating with Porsche Design for a unique edition of the forthcoming Magic 6 series. Digital Chat Station (DCS), a reliable tipster, had previously disclosed the existence of this model earlier this month.

It is worth noting that this collaboration marks the first time Honor and Porsche Design are working together. Previously, it was Huawei that released products with Porsche branding. However, Huawei has now introduced its own premium label called Ultimate Design.

According to DCS, the Magic 6 lineup will consist of three primary handsets, with the special Porsche Design variant based on the top-end model. While the exact names of these devices are not yet known, based on previous generations, they could be called Honor Magic 6, Honor Magic 6 Pro, and Honor Magic 6 Ultimate.

All the devices in the Magic 6 series are expected to feature a quad-curved display with a dual punch hole at the top center, in a pill-shaped cutout. However, the first two models may have a circular camera island, while the high-end model will likely have a rounded square camera module.

As the release date approaches, we eagerly await more information about these highly anticipated smartphones. Stay tuned for updates in the coming days.
