Xiaomi recently introduced the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro as the first smartphone worldwide to come equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip in China. A recent social media update by Poco Global executive David Liu hinted that the upcoming Poco device, likely the Poco F6, will be the initial phone in the global market featuring the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Prior to its anticipated launch, AndroidHeadlines released a report leaking preliminary information regarding the Poco F6.
Poco F6 Key Details Revealed
A previous disclosure indicated that the upcoming Poco F6 bears the codename "period" and internal model number "N61." According to the latest report, drawing from Mi code as its source, the device is expected to sport a Sony IMX882 50-megapixel primary camera. Notably, this camera is also found in other phones such as the Realme 12 Pro 5G and the iQOO Z9 5G.
The report also mentions the presence of a Sony IMX355 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and an OmniVision OV20B40 camera, likely designated for macro photography, alongside the main camera. While a dual-camera setup is anticipated, the inclusion of the macro lens in the final product remains uncertain, urging cautious interpretation of the leak.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and Other Features
The report further discloses that the Poco F6 is set to feature the SM8635, which corresponds to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. This same device is anticipated to launch in the Chinese market under the Redmi Note 13 Turbo branding. Display-wise, the F6 is expected to utilize OLED panels sourced from Chinese display markets like TCLD and Tianma. The launch of the Poco F6 is projected to occur sometime in April or May of this year.
