LUMIX ZS99: Perfect for Travelers
The LUMIX ZS99 is tailored for those seeking a lightweight camera with impressive zooming power. It boasts a 24-720mm LEICA DC lens, providing a 30x optical zoom that can extend up to 60x with iZoom. This makes it perfect for shooting everything from expansive vistas to intricate close-ups. With its 5-axis HYBRID Optical Image Stabilization, users can expect reduced blur when taking handheld shots, even at full zoom.
Additionally, this camera records 4K video at 30p, ensuring high-quality and detailed footage. The 4K PHOTO mode allows capturing fast-moving subjects at 30 frames per second. For artistic shots, the ZS99 features HD high-speed video at 120fps for slow-motion effects. A tiltable 1,840k-dot touchscreen facilitates shooting from various angles, while the USB Type-C charging port means the camera is travel-ready.
Photo sharing is a breeze with the integrated Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functions. A specific button enables fast image transfers to smartphones. The LUMIX ZS99 is priced at $499.99 and will hit the market in mid-February 2025, available in both black and silver.
LUMIX G97: A Hybrid Powerhouse
The LUMIX G97 is a hybrid camera that merges advanced photography and videography features. Its 20.3MP CMOS sensor paired with a high-performance processor produces crisp images filled with vivid colors. The camera comes equipped with a Live View Composite mode that allows users to merge several exposures in real-time, creating effects such as star trails or illuminated scenes without risking background overexposure.
Furthermore, the G97 includes a 4K PHOTO mode, which captures high-resolution bursts at 30fps, making it perfect for quick-action shots. Its 5-axis Dual I.S.2 stabilization system ensures steady images and videos, even in tough shooting situations. For video recording, the G97 can film in 4K at 30p and offers options for both slow-motion and quick-motion in FHD. It also supports 12 stops of V-Log L for enhanced cinematic quality, with headphone and microphone jacks for audio management during recording.
