Oppo is set to introduce its Reno 12 series to the Indian market on July 12th. This series features two models: the Oppo Reno 12 and the Oppo Reno 12 Pro. Having already debuted globally, their specifications are well-known. Here’s a brief overview of what these smartphones offer.
Specifications of Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro
Both models are equipped with a 6.7-inch FHD+ display that boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and utilizes a flexible AMOLED panel. Oppo describes this display as a “Quad-Micro Curved Infinite View,” highlighting its slim bezels and an impressive 93.5% screen-to-body ratio.
Reno 12 Pro
The Reno 12 Pro is available in Sunset Gold and Space Brown, featuring a two-tone back panel. The upper portion employs Oppo Glow technology for a smudge-resistant finish, while the lower half has a glossy appearance with the Oppo logo. The standard model comes in Sunset Peach, Matte Brown, and Astro Silver.
In terms of durability, the company claims that the smartphone is equipped with “All-Round Armour protection technology” to enhance drop and impact resistance. The chassis is constructed from a high-strength alloy to provide additional sturdiness. Both devices have an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.
Reno 12
The Oppo Reno 12 series is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 system-on-chip. This hardware is enhanced by Oppo’s suite of AI features such as AI Clear Face, AI Writer, AI Recording Summary, and AI Eraser 2.0.
Both models house a 5000mAh battery that supports 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging, ensuring a full charge from 0% in just 46 minutes.
Regarding camera capabilities, the Oppo Reno 12 Pro features a triple-camera setup: a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP telephoto camera using the Samsung JN5 sensor for 2x zoom, and an 8MP Sony IMX 355 ultra-wide-angle lens.
The standard Oppo Reno 12 swaps the telephoto lens for a 2MP macro lens but retains the 50MP primary sensor and the 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. For selfies, the Pro model is equipped with a 50MP camera, whereas the standard model comes with a 32MP sensor.
