The Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro are anticipated to be launched globally in October, following the China-exclusive release of the Find X7 series. According to recent updates, a rendering of the Oppo Find X8 has been shared by tipster i冰宇宙.
The Find X8 is expected to feature flat sides, marking a significant design change from the curved edges of the Oppo Find X7. The render also reveals an additional capacitive button at the device's bottom right, dubbed the ‘Quick Button,’ which is designed to operate similarly to the Capture button in the forthcoming iPhone 16 series. Unlike the power and volume buttons, this Quick Button is flush with the device's surface.
Camera and Design Changes
The large camera island maintains a similar protrusion as seen in its predecessor. Real-life images have shown the base model with a flat back and a rounded square camera island. The Find X8's camera setup includes a 50 MP main sensor from Sony, a 50 MP ultrawide camera, and a 3x periscope telephoto lens. The Pro version is rumored to feature an extra 10x periscope telephoto lens, forming a quad-camera configuration.
Below are real-life images of the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, showcasing a redesigned camera island. The “H” logo has been repositioned to the center for a more symmetrical look. This change aligns with the base model, where the lenses are symmetrically placed on both sides.
Design Consistency and Variations
While the Pro model retains a circular camera, one or both might be prototype designs as the company tests different layouts. Both models are expected to have a consistent camera island design.
Earlier rumors suggested that the base model would adopt a flat design, whereas the Pro model would stick with a curved display, similar to its predecessor. The latest render confirms this speculation.
