OnePlus has stated that their AMOLED displays will now include an "Enhanced Bonding Layer." According to the company, this layer utilizes PVX edge-sealing material, which serves as a protective barrier. This barrier is designed to reduce the amount of moisture and oxygen that can get through, ultimately improving the lifespan of the display.
Rigorous Testing Procedures
In addition to the new bonding layer, OnePlus is performing extensive quality tests on the AMOLED displays in its phones. They claim to conduct over 180 tests that mimic extreme real-world scenarios. This thorough process is intended to bring down the chances of green line problems to "an industry low."
Lifetime Warranty for Display Issues
Finally, OnePlus has shared that it will provide a lifetime warranty on all of its smartphones, including older models, for any green line problems. This means that even if your phone is no longer under the standard warranty, you can still get a display replacement if you experience green lines on your screen.
It's important to mention that this isn't the first time OnePlus has dealt with green line issues. Previously, the company provided discount vouchers to certain users in India who experienced this problem.
