OnePlus has made it official that it will launch the OnePlus Ace 5 series in China next month. This series will consist of two versions: the OnePlus Ace 5 and the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro, both featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors.
OnePlus Ace 5 Design
Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster, has leaked a render showcasing the design of the OnePlus Ace 5. This smartphone will have a punch-hole display for the front camera, a standard alert slider located on the left side, and a round camera module on the back that includes three sensors along with an LED flash.
The design also indicates that the handset will have a flat screen, safeguarded by Crystal Shield glass, and will be surrounded by a metal frame as well as a ceramic back. The Ace 5 is likely to come in a Sky Blue color, featuring a distinctive painted pottery finish created through sophisticated crafting techniques.
Specifications and Features
In terms of specs, the Ace 5 is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, while the Ace 5 Pro could offer the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. According to reports, the Ace 5 will come with a 1.5K resolution OLED flat screen manufactured by BOE, moving away from the curved design found in the Ace 3. It will support 100W wired fast charging, although it won’t have wireless charging capabilities. The Ace 5 Pro is also anticipated to feature BOE’s X2 flat screen, maintaining the 1.5K resolution.
The camera setup on the Ace 5 Pro is predicted to receive major upgrades, featuring a Sony IMX906 main sensor alongside an ISOCELL JN1 telephoto sensor, both capable of 50-megapixel resolution. It might also use advanced image processing similar to the technology used in the Find X8 series.
Pricing Expectations
The Ace 3 Pro was launched at a price of CNY 3,199, but the starting price for the Ace 5 Pro may rise due to its earlier release date and the higher expense associated with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
