OnePlus 12 June 2024 Update: Security Patch, Animation Tweaks

Last month, OnePlus introduced a significant update for its OnePlus 12 smartphone, named OxygenOS 14.0.0.802. This update brought several new features, quality-of-life enhancements, and bug fixes. Recently, the company released another major update called OxygenOS 14.0.0.810. This new version refines animations and touch controls, resolves some issues, and upgrades security to the June 2024 level.

The update is currently available exclusively for Indian users, with the firmware version CPH2573_14.0.0.810(EX01). It has a total size of 1.06GB. Below is the complete changelog.

  • App icons on the Home screen now respond faster to taps.
  • Enhances touch control responsiveness when opening and closing apps.
  • Optimizes animations for opening and closing multiple apps.
  • Adds a transition animation when pulling down Quick Settings.
  • Refines animations when dragging app icons on the Home screen.

Animation upgrade

  • Introduces Gaussian blur effects when opening and closing app icons on the Home screen.
  • Adds a transition animation when opening and closing Home screen widgets.
  • Adds a transition animation for clock widgets when the screen is turned off.
  • Enhances the display of Home screen widgets.

Games

  • Improves gaming stability.
  • Fixes an issue where the screen might turn black while playing a game.

System

  • Users can now opt not to show the track when drawing the Lock screen pattern to unlock the device.
  • Music controls can now be displayed in Fluid Cloud.
  • Resolves an issue where the volume slider in Quick Settings and the one triggered by pressing the physical volume button might appear simultaneously.
  • Integrates the June 2024 Android security patch to bolster system security.

The OTA update will be released incrementally. Initially, it will be available to a small percentage of users today, with a wider rollout starting in a few days. Users can manually check for the update by going to Settings > About Device > OxygenOS > Check for Update.
