Nubia is set to update its Z60 Ultra smartphone for both the Chinese and international markets. The company has revealed that it will be upgrading the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip to a “Leading Version” Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Essentially, this “Leading Version” is an overclocked variant of the SD 8 Gen 3 chip.
The official announcements in China and globally are slated for July 23, 2024. Though the company hasn't confirmed the name of the updated version, speculations suggest it might be dubbed the Nubia Z60s Ultra.
Key Specifications
Aside from the new processor, no additional changes are anticipated. Hence, the device is expected to feature a 6.8-inch 1.5K resolution OLED display with a peak brightness of 1500 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone might be available with up to 24GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.

The smartphone will likely be powered by a 6,000mAh battery that supports 80W wired fast charging and comes with IP68 level dust and water resistance. In terms of cameras, it is anticipated to have a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 64MP 3.2x periscope telephoto camera, all featuring optical image stabilization. The front camera is expected to be a 12MP under-display sensor.
