Nikon has introduced the Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.4 autofocus lens. This new wide-angle, fixed-focus lens is designed for the Nikon X Mount system. It boasts a minimum focusing distance of 0.27 meters and maintains a constant maximum aperture of f/1.4.
Advanced Features for Stunning Imagery
The Nikkor Z series from Nikon includes mirrorless interchangeable lenses, which are ideal for pairing with Nikon Z series mirrorless cameras. These lenses range from wide-angle to telephoto, providing the necessary perspectives for breathtaking photography and 4K Ultra HD video. The series incorporates advanced technology, such as silent autofocus, making it perfect for video recording and vlogging. Additionally, users can utilize F-mount Nikkor lenses with a Z series camera by using the optional Mount Adapter FTZ or Mount Adapter FTZ II.
Build and Design
The Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.4 lens measures approximately 86.5mm in length and weighs 415g. Its size is comparable to that of the Nikon Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.8 S, making it easy to carry for everyday use. The lens features silent autofocus powered by a stepping motor (STM) and is both dust and water-resistant, which enhances its durability. The lens also includes a metal filter ring cover and is constructed with 11 lenses in nine groups, including two aspherical lenses. Notably, this is the first time such a configuration has been used in a non-S series lens.
The Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.4 lens is set for release on July 18, with an estimated price of 4,999 yuan ($688).
