Nexar has introduced a new addition to its beam2 dash cam series, named the beam2 mini LTE. This latest dash cam boasts a maximum resolution of 1080p from its sensor, although Nexar has not disclosed specific details about the sensor itself. In contrast, the earlier model, the Beem2, which is currently priced at $236 on Amazon, can record footage at up to 2K resolution.
Features Galore
The beam2 mini LTE comes loaded with an array of features, such as live parking mode, remote video streaming, 24/7 monitoring, emergency alerts, live GPS tracking, instant clip sharing, and real-time notifications. However, it’s worth mentioning that this new vehicle surveillance system from Nexar does not include a collision sensor.
Connectivity and Storage
Additionally, the dash cam is equipped with built-in GPS for route tracking. It also supports Bluetooth low-energy 5.0 and WiFi 5 GHz for faster data transfers. Nexar has removed the necessity for a microSD card by offering 64GB of built-in storage, with options for 128GB and 256GB versions as well. Unfortunately, there is no dedicated slot available for expanding storage further.
Control and Pricing
You can manage the beep2 mini using the Nexar Connect companion app, which enables various functionalities like multi-camera connectivity, parking mode settings, remote video streaming, and unlimited cloud storage for content management and sharing. Keep in mind that to use all the features of the Nexar Connect app, a subscription is required, costing $9.99 per month.
The Nexar beep2 mini LTE is currently available on Nexar's official website, with the 64GB model priced at $119.95. The 128GB and 256GB models are available for $145.95 and $179.95, respectively. The retail package includes the dash cam, an OBD kit, and installation tools and clips. For more details, you can check out the official product page for the beep2 mini LTE.
