Notable Chinese mini-PC manufacturer Minisforum has recently introduced the UM480XT mini-PC, a more affordable version of the UM590 model released last year. This move is aimed at reducing prices and boosting sales for the company.
Powerful Performance
The Minisforum UM480XT mini PC is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 4800H CPU, which is a Renoir APU announced in 2020. Originally designed for larger and more powerful laptops, this processor brings high-end performance to the affordable PC market. Despite being slightly outdated, it still offers impressive power for its intended use.
Customizable Options
The UM480XT is available in a barebone model, allowing users to customize it according to their preferences. Additionally, there are three pre-configured versions with different memory options. These versions come with 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of RAM respectively. In terms of storage, users can choose between a 512GB or 1TB SSD.
Compact Design with Extensive Connectivity
With its compact dimensions of 12.76cm x 4.82cm, the UM480XT mini-PC offers a space-saving solution without compromising on connectivity options. The device includes a USB-C port for data transfer, a second USB 3.2 Type-C port with DP 1.4 support, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, and two HDMI ports. It also features a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port for high-speed internet connectivity.
Pricing and Availability
The Minisforum UM480XT mini-PC is currently available for purchase on the company's official website. The barebone model is listed at $229. Interestingly, the same model is listed on Amazon for $189.90, although it is currently out of stock. Despite the slight price difference, both options offer excellent value for money.
