This week, subscribers to Game Pass can get two games that are usually only found on the Battle.net store. Starting from November 5, StarCraft Remastered and the StarCraft II: Campaign Collection will be available to play on Xbox Game Pass. Just a heads up, both games are only playable on PC.
Revamped Classic Game
StarCraft Remastered is the enhanced version of the iconic 1998 real-time strategy game StarCraft, which was updated and re-released in 2017. This new version revives the thrilling clashes between Terrans, Protoss, and Zerg, featuring improved graphics and sound while keeping the original gameplay intact.
Players can pick from one of three distinct races and engage in real-time battles against either other players or AI. Each race comes with its own units, buildings, and special abilities, requiring different tactics to succeed. There are both classic and modern leaderboards, allowing gamers to compete against others around the globe.
Pricing and Ratings
The standard price for StarCraft Remastered is about $15. On Metacritic, this classic real-time strategy game has earned favorable reviews, boasting a Metascore of 85 and a user score of 7.9.
StarCraft II "Wings of Liberty" launched in March 2010, offering not only improved graphics but also introduced new units for every race. Blizzard followed up with two expansions, "Heart of the Swarm" in 2013 and "Legacy of the Void" in 2015.
