Casio has announced that the exciting new collaboration between G-Shock and Barbie will be released in several markets around the globe. This model, referred to as the GMA-S110BE-4A, GMA-S110BE-4AER, or GMAS110BE-4A, is currently up for pre-order in Japan at ¥24,750 (approximately $162). The official release in other locations is planned for later this month.
Expected Launch in March
The GMA-S110BE-4A is set to make its debut in countries such as the US, the UK, and France this March, with prices listed at $170, £149, and €169. As anticipated, this watch features a vibrant pink resin design, utilizing different shades throughout the face, bezel, and strap, complete with Neobrite components. Additionally, the iconic Barbie logo and image are prominently displayed on both the strap and the back casing of the watch.
Features and Specifications
Details about the features of this Barbie-themed G-Shock watch were leaked at the end of January, aligning with other models in the GMA-S110 series. This analog-digital hybrid model is equipped with 29 world time zones, allowing users to display time in either a 12 or 24-hour format. It also includes an amber LED backlight with afterglow, which is helpful for viewing the dial in dim conditions. The watch comes with useful tools such as a 1/1000-second stopwatch, a 24-hour countdown timer, and five daily alarms. Additionally, it boasts a water resistance of 200 meters and can operate for about two years on a CR1220 battery.
