Vivo is gearing up to unveil its latest smartphones, the Vivo S18 and S18 Pro, in China on December 27th. Ahead of the launch, the company has released official posters confirming the chipsets that will power these devices. Additionally, a leaker has revealed the chipset that will be featured in the S18e model. Let's take a closer look at all the new details about the S18 series.

Vivo S18 series' chipsets revealed

According to the posters, the Vivo S18 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, which is the same chip used by its competitor, the Honor 100.

On the other hand, the Vivo S18 Pro will come with the Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset. This particular chipset has previously powered popular smartphones like the Xiaomi 13T Pro, Redmi K60 Ultra, Vivo X90s, and iQOO Neo 8 Pro. Reports suggest that the S18 and S18 Pro will be available in different configurations, including 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 512GB storage, and 16GB RAM + 512GB storage.

Vivo S18e to feature Dimensity 7200

According to a Chinese leaker, the Vivo S18e will feature the Dimensity 7200 chipset. This chipset has also been spotted in other phones such as the Vivo S17e, Vivo V27, Vivo T2 Pro 5G, iQOO Z7 Pro, and Redmi Note 13 Pro+.

The leaker did not mention the display size of the S18e, but reports suggest that the Vivo S18 and S18 Pro will sport a 6.78-inch curved-edge OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2,800 nits. As for the S18e, it will feature a flat display.

Camera and Battery Specifications

The Vivo S18e will be equipped with a 4,800mAh battery and a dual-camera system consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.

On the other hand, both the S18 and S18 Pro will boast a larger 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. The S18 will feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor paired with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, while the Pro edition will sport a triple camera system consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 12-megapixel tertiary sensor.

With the official posters and leaked information, Vivo fans can now look forward to the launch of the S18 series on December 27th in China.
