Huawei's latest Pura 70 series has been launched in China, boasting enhanced cameras, generative AI capabilities, and improved performance. One notable feature that has been introduced is the "floor-level detection" function, which collaborates with Huawei Cloud to accurately determine the phone's current floor location, even without an internet connection.
Enhanced Location Tracking
The "floor-level detection" feature, available with an upgrade to Huawei Cloud version 15.0.0.300 or higher, can be activated by accessing Cloud Space within the Huawei Account settings on the device. Users can utilize this functionality by logging into their Huawei account from another Huawei device and accessing the device search page in Huawei Cloud.
Widened Coverage and Future Expansion
Reports suggest that this feature is currently functional in densely populated locations like airports, stations, and more than 10,000 mainstream cities in China. There are plans to extend the coverage of this feature in the coming times.
The Huawei Pura 70 series consists of four variants: Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, Pura 70 Pro+, and Pura 70 Ultra. The top-tier model, Pura 70 Ultra, offers a unique retractable zoom lens, a rarity in mainstream smartphones. This camera, labeled as a "super-concentrated macro telephoto" camera, provides 3.5X optical zoom and a focal length of 90mm.
