The FreeBuds Pro 4 are set to make their appearance as customized TWS earbuds that come with Huawei Sound tuning and touch controls on their AirPod-like stems. Additionally, the company has revealed that these will be the first-ever peripherals to run on HarmonyOS NEXT.
Enhanced Connectivity Features
According to the company, this software promises to boost cross-platform connectivity, making it more secure and private than previous versions. Unlike older iterations of HarmonyOS that were built on the Android open-source project (AOSP), this one is crafted from scratch.
Compatibility with New Devices
Moreover, the FreeBuds app for the Pro 4 is expected to be fully native, especially on devices like the soon-to-be-released Mate 70 series smartphones or possibly an updated version of the MatePad Pro 13.2.
Huawei's recent statement also sheds light on the role of the FreeBuds Pro 4, which will be taking part in the upcoming Mate Brand Festival on November 26, 2024, succeeding the FreeBuds Pro 3, which are currently on sale at Amazon.com.
