Huawei has introduced the Children’s Watch 5 Pro, a follow-up to the Children’s Watch 4 Pro. This new kids' smartwatch stands out as the first to incorporate offline positioning 2.0, enabling the device to be tracked even without a mobile network. Remarkably, it can still be located up to five days after being turned off, thanks to this offline positioning feature. Additionally, it is the first smartwatch to receive the Children’s Safety Guardian Certification in China.

The Huawei Children’s Watch 5 Pro will be available for purchase starting May 24, though pre-sales have already started. This smartwatch is designed to enhance child safety with its novel dual-core design and offline positioning 2.0. The device's offline positioning capability, even without power or network for up to five days, significantly enhances its safety profile.
The watch is offered in multiple colors, including blue and pink. The advanced offline positioning feature provides parents with added peace of mind, especially in areas with poor network coverage or low battery. It utilizes 14-fold AI positioning, five-fold satellite positioning, triple-wired positioning, and three-fold auxiliary positioning. It also supports two-level offline positioning and new floor positioning. The device includes 200W and 500W front-facing and rear-facing cameras, respectively, with 4x digital zoom and video calling capabilities for both cameras.

The Huawei Children’s Watch 5 Pro is equipped with an 800mAh battery, offering 24 hours of typical usage. It features magnetic super-fast charging technology, allowing the battery to be fully recharged in just 40 minutes. The launch price for the Huawei Children’s Watch 5 Pro is 1,198 yuan (approximately $166) in China. Currently, Huawei has not disclosed any information regarding global availability for this new smartwatch for kids.
