Ahead of the launch on October 30, Honor is generating buzz for its Magic 7 flagship series. After introducing the Shadow Gray variant, the company has now unveiled a new color option called "Chaoha Gold" for the standard Magic 7 model. This shade is said to embody “the beauty of the morning light,” according to Honor.
Stylish Reveal
In the latest promotional visuals, Chinese actress and singer Zhu Zhu, who is now Honor’s Art Aesthetic Ambassador, showcases the phone in this warm gold hue. The images display a smooth and stylish design for the Magic 7, although specific details about the phone's complete design are still not disclosed.
Innovative Technology
Apart from its looks, Honor has announced that the Magic 7 series will include its previously introduced AI Defocus Eye Protection technology. This feature, which was announced in June, uses the display to mimic defocus glasses, creating a gentle blur in the peripheral vision to enhance central focus.
Honor stated that this technology noticeably decreased transient myopia (temporary nearsightedness) in users by an average of 13 degrees after reading for 25 minutes, with some individuals reporting a reduction of up to 75 degrees. This feature will be available on both the Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro models.
Eye Care Features
The emphasis on eye health goes even further. Honor has confirmed that the Magic 7 series will include displays with 4,320 Hz Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) dimming, a known tech that helps lessen flicker and eye fatigue.
Moreover, the screens will provide hardware-level low blue light reduction. Interestingly, Honor claims that the displays will also employ AI to modify brightness, color temperature, and contrast in real-time according to user behavior and preferences. In the latest teaser, the company also hinted at AI being integrated into the face unlock system.
Pre-orders for the Honor Magic 7 series are currently available on Honor’s official website. Customers can reserve their device with a 100-yuan deposit, which comes with bonuses like free Bluetooth headphones, a 1,200-yuan trade-in subsidy, and other benefits.
