Honor 400 Series Expected to Get Major Battery Upgrade in 2025

Honor seems to have crafted its new mid-range smartphones with the goal of standing out in the camera department. However, when it comes to the Android battery race, they are still lagging behind, featuring only a 5,300mAh battery even in their latest Ultra model.

Battery Capacity Concerns

To be fair, the brand has not yet surpassed the 6,000mAh threshold in its newest flagship series either. Nevertheless, the 400 series is rumored to exceed the Magic7 RSR in terms of battery size.

According to the reliable leaker Digital Chat Station, the upcoming series could potentially showcase a cutting-edge 7,000mAh battery capacity.

Potential Trade-offs

This could mark a notable advancement for the Honor 400 Ultra and/or Pro. However, they may need to forgo the impressive 80W wireless charging feature that their predecessors currently hold, especially if we consider the existing mid-range smartphone that leads with a 7,000mAh battery.

There are also speculations that the Honor 400 Pro and 400 Ultra will feature the new Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset, likely due to the 200 Pro, which is expected to launch around the same time, using the similar 8s Gen 3.

Anticipated Release Date

As a result, we can anticipate the entire 400 series to arrive around May 2025, possibly accompanied by even more uniquely shaped camera bumps to complement their supposedly larger batteries.
