The 300 Pro has not been officially announced yet, but it has been detailed by the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station. The newest Honor smartphone that appeared on Geekbench seems to have a processor that differs from the rumored Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
Benchmarking Details
The AMP-AN00 showcases a typical Honor 5G smartphone model number in its recent benchmark leak, which also indicates the "ARM SM8650" (a name usually associated with the 8 Gen 3) as its CPU.
Core Configuration
Interestingly, five out of the eight cores are running at the same 2.96GHz frequency, which is quite uncommon, especially when compared to the 8 Gen 3’s configuration of 3+2+2+1, with a top frequency of 3.3GHz. The new processor features two cores clocked at 2.04GHz, while the fastest core appears to be running at 3.05GHz.
Performance Metrics
This supposed new Snapdragon 8-series variant has managed to score over 2,100 and just under 7,000 in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. It will be fascinating to see if it will indeed be launched as the powerhouse of the 300 Pro in the near future.
