Honor is all set to unveil its 300 series on December 2. The design of the Honor 300 Ultra has already been officially shown, while images of the standard version were leaked earlier.

Geekbench Listing Reveals Specs

Recently, the supposed Honor 300 Pro appeared on Geekbench. We knew this phone would feature last year’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, but the listing has brought out some surprising details. Let’s dive into the clock speeds.

Snapdragon 8 Gen3 Chip Details

The Honor 300 Pro is built with a setup that includes one 3.05 GHz X4 super core, five 2.96 GHz A720 large cores, and two 2.04 GHz A520 medium cores. In comparison, the typical Snapdragon 8 Gen3 setup consists of a 3.3 GHz X4 core, three 3.2 GHz A720 cores, and two 3.0 GHz A720 cores, plus two 2.3 GHz A520 cores. Both versions utilize the same Adreno 750 GPU.

Thus, all CPU cores in the rumored Honor 300 Pro have much lower clock speeds than the standard chip configuration. It’s worth noting that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is a high-end chipset from the previous year and is capable of handling nearly all demanding games, while the Honor 300 series is aimed at the mid-range market.
