HMD Global is rumored to be developing a new smartphone named the HMD Skyline, drawing inspiration from the Nokia Lumia 920. The company aims to attract nostalgic consumers in the competitive smartphone market. Additionally, a recent leak indicates that HMD Global intends to introduce a tablet with Lumia-like aesthetics, called the HMD Slate Tab 5G.

According to the leak, the HMD Slate Tab 5G will boast a flat-back design in vibrant, eye-catching colors reminiscent of Lumia smartphones. It will feature a sizeable 10.6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2,000 x 1,200 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. For cameras, the tablet will include an 8-megapixel front-facing camera embedded within the bezel, and a 13-megapixel rear camera.
Performance and Features
The device is expected to run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, similar to those found in the recently released tablets like the Redmi Pad Pro and Poco Pad. It will be equipped with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable via a microSD card slot. Powering the tablet is a 9,250mAh battery supporting 30W fast charging. Other notable features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.2, and an integrated 5G modem for cellular connectivity. The tablet will also support stylus input and can connect to a keyboard cover.

While the release date for the HMD Slate Tab 5G remains unknown, the HMD Skyline smartphone is anticipated to launch sometime in July.
