HMD is reportedly developing several smartphones, including the Atlas and Skyline, which were recently leaked, showcasing their design and key features. Now, a third device, the HMD Ridge, has been revealed by the same X user, HMD_MEME, who shared details about the other two devices. This new device is expected to be a budget-friendly option. Read on for all the details.
HMD Ridge leaks
The HMD Ridge shares a similar design with the HMD Atlas, featuring a rectangular camera island that houses two sensors and an LED flash. The front of the Ridge has thicker bezels compared to the Atlas, with a center-aligned punch-hole cutout. The back panel sports a geometric design and is shown in a Pink color option.
Key Specifications
The HMD Ridge is rumored to come with a 6.4-inch display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The device is expected to feature a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP selfie camera.
Internally, the HMD Ridge will reportedly be powered by a Snapdragon 480+ processor with 5G support. It will offer 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM options, and storage variants of 128GB and 256GB. The smartphone is likely to be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery.
Comparison and Additional Devices
It appears that the HMD Ridge will be a scaled-down version of the Atlas. In addition to the Ridge, the Finnish brand has two more devices in the works: the Waylay and Xenon, alongside the Skyline, Atlas, and Ridge. The HMD Skyline is expected to be a mid-range 5G device, while the Atlas will be exclusive to the US market.
