Recently, HMD revealed its partnership with Marvel for the movie Venom: The Last Dance and hinted at an "ultimate symbiotic phone." However, details were sparse. Now, we can see a bit more of what HMD has been working on. As part of this partnership, HMD has crafted a limited selection of Venom-inspired Smart Outfits.
Unique Features of HMD Fusion
The HMD Fusion, which was introduced last month, includes a distinctive feature called "Smart Outfits." This technology enables users to attach various outfits to the back of their phones, giving them a unique appearance. Essentially, these outfits serve as smartphone cases that are connected to the phone using six smart pins.
Venom-Themed Smart Outfit
The Venom-themed Smart Outfit includes 160 electromagnetic arrays that control a captivating ferrofluid. This fluid moves within a glass chamber, creating an effect reminiscent of Venom. Additionally, it comes with software upgrades such as icons, wallpapers, and memorable quotes from the Venom saga. For instance, there’s a welcome sound that states "We are Venom," a ringtone saying "We are screwed," and a voicemail message that reflects Venom’s connection with Eddie, stating, “I’m with you till the end.”
Limited Availability
This is sure to excite fans of Venom, but unfortunately, the company has only produced three of these conceptual Smart Outfits to demonstrate its unique idea. Nevertheless, HMD allows users to design their own Smart Outfits through the HMD Fusion Development Toolkit. After its release in Europe last month, the HMD Fusion is now up for pre-order in the United States.
