HKC has unveiled its new gaming monitor named “G27H7 Pro” in China. The monitor is available for 1899 yuan ($262) on JD.com. Let's dive into its main features.
Key Features of HKC G27H7 Pro
The HKC G27H7 Pro boasts a 27-inch flat screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It is fitted with a Fast IPS panel that can switch between two resolutions, offering 4K at a refresh rate of 160Hz and Full HD at an impressive 320Hz. This flexibility makes it ideal for various gaming setups.
With a response time of just 1ms, the monitor ensures smooth operation with minimal lag, perfect for serious gamers. It can display up to 10.7 billion colors (8-bit + FRC), providing exceptional color accuracy that works well for both gaming and multimedia uses.
Visual Quality and Performance
The monitor is certified with DisplayHDR 400, which guarantees high dynamic range visuals and peaks at 400 nits for brightness. This creates vibrant highlights and deep shadows, enhancing the gaming experience significantly. In SDR mode, it maintains a brightness of 350 nits with a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, offering clear and sharp images. The screen supports a broad color range, covering 95% of DCI-P3, achieving professional-level color precision with an ΔE value below 2.
To ensure user comfort during extended periods, the G27H7 Pro includes a low blue light mode at the hardware level to limit high-energy short-wave blue light without affecting color quality. Additionally, it incorporates HKC’s unique DIC dynamic blur elimination technology, which minimizes motion blur, making fast-moving scenes clearer.
Design and Connectivity
The monitor is designed with an ergonomic stand that allows for height adjustments, tilting, and 90-degree vertical rotation, providing comfort and flexibility for users. Its compact hexagonal base is great for smaller areas, like dormitory desks, while still remaining stable.
For connectivity, the G27H7 Pro offers two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5mm audio-out jack. It also supports VESA wall mounting with a 75x75mm compatibility for diverse placement options.
Moreover, the monitor includes a custom gaming mode that features enhancements for darker scenes, crosshair overlays, and game timers, making it suitable for FPS, RPG, and racing games.
In other news, Philips has launched a new 27-inch 4K IPS monitor that provides 300 nits of brightness and 99% sRGB coverage. On the other hand, BenQ has rolled out a 27-inch 2K monitor with a refresh rate of 100Hz, a 95% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 90W Type-C Power Delivery.
