The Hisense U8NQ Mini LED TV is now available in Europe and can be purchased immediately. This new model includes several impressive features, along with a solar-powered remote. Earlier this year, a similar model named the U8N was released in the United States.
The Hisense U8NQ is a Mini LED ULED 4K TV available in 65-inch and 75-inch sizes. Both models come with a solar charging remote control and are an upgrade from the Hisense U7NQ. Notably, the U8NQ offers higher brightness and reduced input lag, making it ideal for gaming. It uses Mini LED Pro technology with full array local dimming and achieves a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. For comparison, the U7NQ's maximum brightness is 1,500 nits, highlighting the significant improvement in the new model.
Advanced Features
The U8NQ supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision IQ, and HLG. It is equipped with a Hi-View Engine Pro for 4K upscaling. The TV has a native refresh rate of 120Hz and offers a variable refresh rate (VRR) of 144Hz, activated in Game Mode Pro. The Hisense Mini LED TV also includes AMD Freesync Premium Pro and boasts a 9.7ms input lag. Unlike the U8N, which uses Google OS, the U8NQ runs on the Vidaa OS. Users can still access popular streaming apps like Netflix and YouTube and control the TV using Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.
Sound and Connectivity
The Hisense U8NQ features IMAX Enhanced and Filmmaker Modes, and its solar-powered remote can be located using the Find My Remote tool. The TV includes a 2.1.2 channel 60W sound system, which can be connected to a soundbar for better audio output. Connectivity options include HDMI 2.1, USB-C 3.0, and S/PDIF ports, along with Bluetooth and WiFi 6.
Pricing
The 65-inch model is available for €1,999/ £1,799, while the 75-inch version is priced at €2,699/ £2,299 in Europe.
