Google Pixel 9a Pricing Revealed: 128GB and 256GB Options

Just over a month ago, Android Headlines provided a detailed specification list for the Pixel 9a. Since then, not many new details about Google’s upcoming mid-range smartphone have come to light. Instead, reports hint at a possible side-grade rather than a true successor, originating from a different source.

Pricing Details

Recently, Android Headlines has updated us with the potential US launch pricing for the Pixel 9a. The starting price is expected to be $499, which is the same as the MSRP for the Pixel 8a. Similar to last year’s model, this pricing includes a 128 GB storage option instead of the 64 GB that older Pixel A series phones typically offered.

256 GB Variant Pricing

However, the situation is different for the Pixel 9a’s more expensive 256 GB storage model. It is said that Google intends to price this version at $599, which is a $40 increase compared to the Pixel 8a (currently priced at $499 on Amazon). In addition, Android Headlines notes that when the Pixel 9a launches in Canada, the price for the 128 GB model will stay at CA$679, but the 256 GB version will see a CA$50 hike, bringing it to CA$809.

Anticipated Launch and Design

Google is likely to reveal the Pixel 9a this spring, potentially in March, ahead of Google I/O 2025. Although no official images have been released yet for this year’s Pixel A series smartphone, Roland Quandt has shared an image from a third-party case manufacturer, indicating what may be the display design of the device. If this information proves correct, it suggests that the Pixel 9a will have slimmer bezels compared to last year’s model, although we cannot completely dismiss the possibility that this could be an image of the Pixel 9 at this point.
