According to information from a source within Google shared by Android Authority, the Pixel 8a is expected to feature a notable display upgrade. While maintaining a 6.1-inch OLED panel with the same display resolution, the device will offer enhancements in refresh rate and brightness compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 7a. The Pixel 8a is set to boast a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits.
Design Changes and Features
The report also mentions that Google has increased the corner radius on the Pixel 8a to 128px, a significant jump from the previous model's 47px. This alteration aligns with leaked renders showcasing the updated design. Additionally, the Pixel 8a will include DisplayPort output, a feature that will be available across the entire Pixel 8 series.
