Last month, Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Pad Pro in China, showcasing a sizable display and powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. While it was initially expected that this tablet would debut globally under the POCO Pad brand, Xiaomi has taken everyone by surprise by introducing the Redmi Pad Pro to the European market directly.
The announcement was made on the brand’s EU & UK websites where the tablet is now available for pre-order and purchase with special early bird offers. Before discussing the pricing, let's explore the tablet's features.
Specifications of Redmi Pad Pro
The Redmi Pad Pro boasts a 12.1-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a pixel density of 249ppi. This display has an 83.6% screen-to-body ratio and features a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate that can drop to 30Hz. The screen offers a contrast ratio of 1500:1, displaying approximately 68.7 billion colors with a peak brightness of 600 nits. Additional features include 4096 brightness levels, DC dimming, and Dolby Vision support. The display is safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Internally, the tablet is equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor clocked at up to 2.4GHz. It comes with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, available in two configurations: 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. Storage can also be expanded via a MicroSD card.
