It’s been a little more than five years since the release of Cyberpunk 2077, and CD Projekt Red is eager to mark this significant milestone. The studio has unveiled a 5th Anniversary Collector’s Set that features what many might call the “heart” of the game. Naturally, the game itself is included, but there’s also a choice to purchase just the collector’s set if you prefer.
Unboxing the Collector’s Set
In a post shared on X, a member of the CD Projekt Red team demonstrates the 5th Anniversary Collector’s Set in an unboxing video. The box is filled with several items like a biochip replica (known as a relic), a display stand, three tarot cards, two pins, a USB thumb drive, and a steel case. The biochip replica lights up when connected to or placed on the display stand, while the tarot cards feature a holographic effect printed on cardstock. The USB drive, adorned with an etched logo, includes the game’s soundtrack.
A Nod to Fans
Players familiar with Cyberpunk 2077 will instantly recognize the biochip as the pivotal object that ignited the story. It represents the first major heist that spiraled out of control, leading to the introduction of the character ‘V’ and the iconic Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves. Silverhand’s engram, which is essentially his soul, is embedded in the biochip. Due to a chain of unfortunate incidents, it becomes stuck in V’s mind.
How to Get Yours
The 5th Anniversary Collector’s Set is currently up for pre-order, but only in the US and Canada. It’s priced at $145 USD if you choose not to include the Deluxe Edition of the game. If you want the game as part of the set, the total cost rises to $190. However, as of now, no physical copies for any platform or Steam codes for the game are available.
