Engwe has just introduced the M1 Dual Passenger Motorcycle-style E-bike in Europe. The EU Version comes with a single battery that provides a range of up to 90 km (around 56 miles). In contrast, the International Version features dual batteries, boasting a total capacity of 1,373Wh, and is claimed to offer assistance for up to 170 km (106 miles).
Range and Motor Performance
A promotional video suggests that the maximum assistance range could reach 230 km (approximately 143 miles), but the method of this calculation remains unclear. Both versions of the M1, designed for all-terrain use, are equipped with a 250W 65Nm hub motor, allowing for a maximum speed of 25 kph (about 16 mph). Comfort during rides is enhanced by front and rear suspension, while the 20 x 4.0 inches fat tires ensure good grip on various surfaces.
Features and Specifications
An LCD color display shows your current speed and the battery level left. This seven-speed electric bicycle features Shimano gears, 160mm hydraulic disc brakes, and a dual seat. Additional accessories include a headlight, rear light, and turn signals. The frame is made from 6061 aluminum, with the single battery version weighing in at 39.5 kg (approximately 87.1 lbs) and the dual battery version at 43.0 kg (about 94.8 lbs).

You can purchase the Engwe M1 e-bikes from the brand’s online store for Europe. The Single Battery model is priced at €1,049, which is €250 less than the original price of €1,299.
