The DJI Neo pocket drone has been the subject of growing speculation. New evidence about the drone has now been revealed. It seems the DJI Neo will be DJI’s next release and it will be compatible with the DJI Googles 3. DJI will also launch a cheaper pair of FPV googles compatible with the drone.
The new details that emerged online point to an imminent launch of the DJI Neo compact drone. The DJI Neo weighs 135g and will compete against the HoverAIR X1 currently priced at $349. There are no official DJI teasers yet on the Neo but it is claimed that the model could be introduced by the end of August. The leaked DJI Neo render highlights the scale of the drone’s propeller guards and its gimbal hardware setup. The DJI Neo has also shown up in DJI Beta software together with the Avata 2, Mini 4 Pro, and DJI Air 3. A tipster has also claimed to have received confirmation that the DJI Neo could deliver up to 16 minutes of flight time. The tipster, Jasper Ellens did however not substantiate his claims with credible evidence.
The DJI Neo was also claimed to be compatible with both the existing DJI motion controllers and the brand’s first-person view (FPV) Googles 3.
