CNIPA approves Huawei’s design patent for its “charging car”

The design patent for a "charging car" created by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. has been approved by the China National Intellectual Property Administration. This car is equipped with lidar and ultrasonic radar sensors to ensure smooth navigation.

Innovative Design

The main focus of this patent is the unique design of the car, which aims to provide a groundbreaking mobile charging solution. The preliminary images of the car showcase a rounded shape with an interactive display in the front. The car will feature both DC and AC charging outlets located below the interactive screen. In addition to the lidar sensor on top, the car will also house ultrasonic radars on different sides.

Intelligent Driving Functions

Not much information has been revealed about the car's features yet. However, it is expected that Huawei's intelligent driving functions will be incorporated to optimize the usage of the sensors.

Mobile Charging Robot

It is worth noting that this type of charging vehicle, often referred to as a "mobile charging robot," has already been put into practical use. During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays in China, the State Grid Wuhan Power Supply Company introduced the "intelligent mobile energy storage charging pile" at various locations, including vehicle charging stations and service areas. This system has a total power capacity of 60kW and an energy storage capacity of 184kWh. It offers users the choice between 60kW fast charging and 7kW slow charging.

The approval of Huawei's design patent for the "charging car" marks another step forward in the company's efforts to innovate in the electric vehicle market. With its cute and innovative design, this car has the potential to revolutionize the way we think about mobile charging solutions.
