The company has revealed its complete UltraGear Evo gaming monitor collection, which features various 5K2K displays, including a distinguished 5K Mini LED option. Now, this South Korean tech giant is shifting gears to focus on audio, introducing a fresh Xboom speaker lineup in partnership with artist Will.i.am. This lineup consists of four models: Xboom Stage 501, Xboom Blast, Xboom Mini, and Xboom Rock. All of these speakers incorporate AI-driven sound enhancements.

Xboom Stage 501: The Star of the Show

Among the new offerings, the Xboom Stage 501 stands out as the most advanced and feature-rich model. It’s designed to enhance your karaoke sessions and house parties with its impressive sound quality. This speaker includes LG’s innovative AI Karaoke Master feature, which is educated on over 10,000 music tracks. It can remove or modify vocals on almost any song, enabling users to either perform solo or sing along with the original artist.

The Stage 501 showcases a unique five-sided cabinet design and can be positioned in various ways—vertically, horizontally, tilted, or even mounted on a tripod. Its dual woofers, full-range drivers, and Peerless tweeters are engineered to produce powerful audio that can fill a room. It can operate on battery power as well as while plugged in. The speaker comes with a 99Wh swappable battery, providing up to 25 hours of uninterrupted playback. When connected to a power source, it can deliver an impressive output of up to 220W.

The Xboom Blast: Rugged and Ready for Adventure

The Xboom Blast is positioned as a more durable option that can accompany you outdoors, whether at beach parties or camping excursions. Compact and Stylish: The Xboom Mini

For those looking for a smaller option, LG has introduced the Xboom Mini. This model sports a chic “cube” design that blends well with home décor, such as kitchens or patios. Despite its compact form, the Mini provides 10 hours of playback and utilizes “Sound Field Enhance” technology to ensure audio clarity in open areas. It boasts an IP67 certification for water and dust resistance and comes with a “Magic Strap” and tripod mount, allowing for versatile placement, whether indoors or outdoors.

    Adventure-Ready: The Xboom Rock

Completing the lineup is the Xboom Rock, a rugged portable speaker built for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. This speaker has been tested against seven military standards to ensure reliable performance in tough environments, offering up to 10 hours of music playback on a single charge.

This model builds on the previous XG2 version, featuring improved sound quality and a power output boost to 6W for a more impactful audio experience. Additionally, it introduces LE Audio Auracast support, enabling users to wirelessly link multiple speakers for a shared listening experience during group activities.

The new 2026 Xboom “xboom by will.i.am” lineup is slated to become available in global markets in 2026, although LG has yet to disclose specific pricing and availability information. • DIY Modder Transforms Smartphone into Cyberdeck with Speakers & Keyboard

DIY Modder Transforms Smartphone into Cyberdeck with Speakers & Keyboard

    Key Takeaways

    1. Unique Design: The cyberdeck is a smartphone case that integrates extra features like Bluetooth speakers and a mini keyboard, showcasing innovative use of everyday components.

    2. Power and Flexibility: It is powered by a 10,000 mAh battery, offers a clamshell design for easy use, and includes a USB-C hub with extra ports and a side handle for portability.

    3. Inspiration: The creator was inspired by the Atari Portfolio, aiming to combine multiple devices into one compact and easy-to-carry package.

    4. Sound Quality: The device features impressive sound quality with 5W stereo speakers, significantly better than standard phone speakers.

    5. Future Enhancements: The modder plans to upgrade the cyberdeck with more powerful 20W speakers and an improved keyboard layout.

The cyberdeck community has come up with some really creative DIY projects, but one particular device truly shines among them. Known as ‘High Tech \ Low Life’, this modder has created a cyberdeck that takes a unique approach to what a portable computer can be.

In a Reddit post, he mentioned, “This took a while to build, but it has a lot of features.”

    A Unique Design

Unlike a conventional self-contained computer setup, this creation is actually a smartphone case that has been cleverly designed to include some extra features. The cyberdeck makes use of everyday components in an innovative way. It comes with a Bluetooth amplifier connected to two 5W stereo speakers, delivering impressive sound quality. Additionally, it has a mini tactical keyboard, along with a touchpad for easy navigation and typing.

    Power and Flexibility

Powered by a strong 10,000 mAh battery, the device ensures that users can enjoy extended gaming or movie watching without worrying about running out of juice. The cyberdeck unfolds in a clamshell style, reminiscent of a laptop, and can open up to an impressive 180 degrees.

Moreover, it includes a USB-C hub with extra ports for accessories, magnetic attachments for quick phone swaps, and flip-out feet to stabilize it on uneven surfaces. Since portability is key, the modder has added a side handle for easier transport.

    Inspiration and Future Plans

So what inspired him to create this cyberdeck? The modder credits the Atari Portfolio, a mini-computer from the late 80s, which also appeared in Terminator 2, as his muse.

In a YouTube video, he explained: “I’ve been wanting to make this for a long, long time. I essentially wanted to combine a computer, a keyboard, a boombox, a hub, and a battery into one small and easy-to-carry package.”

However, the project wasn’t quick to finish. He began from scratch, using Fusion 360 to design the phone mount. He obtained hinges from an old ThinkPad and crafted speaker enclosures to ensure everything fit well without sacrificing usability.

    Sound Quality and Future Enhancements

He noted, “The speakers are amazing for their size, and while they’re only 5W each, they are an insane upgrade over the phone’s speakers.”

Yet, he’s not finished with the cyberdeck, as he intends to upgrade to 20W speakers and improve the keyboard layout.

    5. Ideal for Audiophiles: The smartphone is perfect for users who prioritize audio quality, turning the device into a mobile concert venue.

The Poco F8 Ultra is truly distinctive in the market, especially with its Bose-optimised speakers, making it one of the top multimedia smartphones in the premium range. In contrast to the Poco F8 Pro, which already offers impressive Bose-tuned stereo audio, the Ultra version features an even more advanced audio setup. Superior Sound Experience

Bose technology fine-tunes frequency response, soundstage, and dynamics specifically for the compact design of smartphones. During evaluations, the dual 1115F stereo speakers produced a clear and balanced sound profile, complemented by the 1620 subwoofer, which makes a noticeable difference. High frequencies are mostly precise, while mid-range sounds remain natural, even at high volume levels. At maximum loudness, distortion is minimal, which is quite remarkable for a device of this size. The subwoofer not only amplifies action scenes in films but also enriches gaming sound and delivers deep beats. Whether you hold the device in your hands or set it on a surface, the sound quality stays consistent.

    Competing at a New Level

When compared to rivals like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra or the iPhone 17 Pro Max, the Poco F8 Ultra establishes new benchmarks. With Bose’s technology, it offers a broader sound stage and deeper bass without needing headphones. Furthermore, support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio enhances the overall audio experience.

Despite its many strengths, at very high volume levels, a slightly more powerful amplifier could tighten the high frequencies a bit more. All in all, Bose has truly made the Poco F8 Ultra an audio standout: ideal for users who view their smartphone as a mobile concert venue.
