    3. Performance is expected to be comparable to the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and potentially the RTX 5060 Ti in some games.
    4. The RX 9070 GRE may be announced alongside the RX 9060 XT at Computex in late May.
    5. Initial availability may be limited to China, but global availability is likely to follow based on previous models.

While the Radeon RX 9060 XT is set to be revealed in late May, AMD has another mid-range graphics card that fits between the RX 9070 and RX 9060 XT. Thanks to Videocardz, we have complete details on AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 GRE.

    Specifications Overview

The Radeon RX 9070 GRE will feature 12 GB of 18 Gbps VRAM on a 192-bit bus, providing a memory bandwidth of 432 GB/s. It will utilize a Navi 58 GPU that includes 3,072 Stream Processors (48 Compute Units) and will have a boost clock speed of 2.79 GHz. The exact power consumption is still unknown, but it’s expected to be less than the 220 Watts needed by the RX 9070 XT.

    Performance Expectations

With these specifications, we can anticipate performance similar to that of a GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, and potentially even the RTX 5060 Ti in certain games. Depending on the pricing strategy, it will compete with Intel’s Arc B580, which was released last year and shares comparable specs.

    Launch Details

Like the Radeon RX 7650 GRE and RX 7900 GRE that were previously launched, it may initially be limited to the Chinese market. However, both of those models eventually became available globally through unofficial means, so it’s just a matter of time before the RX 9070 GRE also makes its way to international consumers.

  • Mario Kart World Direct Reveals New Characters, Tracks, and Features

Mario Kart World Direct Reveals New Characters, Tracks, and Features

    Key Takeaways

    1. Game Reveal and Features: Mario Kart World was revealed on April 2nd, showcasing new characters, tracks, and a rewind feature that excited fans.

    2. Pricing Concerns: The game is priced at $80, leading to criticism, but Nintendo aims to prove it’s the most comprehensive Mario Kart experience.

    3. New Locations: The game includes new locations like Salty Salty Speedway and Boo Cinema, with Rainbow Road unlockable after completing all Grand Prix races.

    4. Gameplay Innovations: New items and techniques, such as a hammer for attacks and a charge jump, enhance gameplay, along with a rewind feature available in solo modes.

    5. Pre-Order Demand: Despite price concerns, pre-orders for the Switch 2 console and Mario Kart World Bundle are selling out quickly.

After its reveal on April 2nd during the Nintendo Direct, fans quickly learned key details about Mario Kart World. The subsequent Treehouse presentations offered more insights about the Switch 2 game. However, Nintendo kept some surprises for the recently finished Mario Kart World Direct. Among the new characters, tracks, and modes, the addition of a rewind feature likely elicited the most excitement.

    Pricing Concerns

Facing criticism regarding its $80 price tag, Nintendo was probably eager to demonstrate why this game is touted as the most comprehensive Mario Kart experience ever. This kart racing game introduces elements of open-world and off-road gameplay. In the Grand Prix mode, players can explore off-track paths that connect four different courses. The Mario Kart World Direct highlighted the expansive map, allowing online players to gather with friends represented by icons.

    New Locations and Features

Some of the new locations showcased during the Nintendo Direct include Salty Salty Speedway, a haunted Boo Cinema, and Starview Peak. Nintendo teased that finishing all Grand Prix races would unlock the beloved Rainbow Road. Additionally, players will have the option of racing during both day and night in Mario Kart World.

The Nintendo presentation also unveiled new characters, including Goomba, Spike, and Cow. Viewers were treated to intricate character designs for both familiar and new racers, like Mario and Peach, complete with some elaborate costumes.

    Gameplay Innovations

In the heat of the races, characters can utilize new items such as a hammer that can be used to attack or obstruct rivals. Techniques like a charge jump require practice, but they can be used to leap over opponents, evade attacks, or even ride along walls. Borrowing an idea from Forza Horizon, players can make use of a rewind feature if things go wrong. However, this somewhat debated feature is only available in solo and free-roaming modes.

Unsurprisingly, the Mario Kart World Direct was once again flooded with “Drop the Price” remarks. Even so, pre-orders for the Switch 2 console and the Mario Kart World Bundle continue to sell out.

  • Cloud Saves Missing in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Switch 2 Edition

Cloud Saves Missing in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Switch 2 Edition

    Key Takeaways

    1. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Switch 2 Edition will not support cloud save backups via Nintendo Switch Online.
    2. A ResetEra user discovered this information on European store pages for several Switch 2 Edition games.
    3. Most game pages have been updated, but the Tears of the Kingdom page remains unchanged, lacking a cloud save support badge.
    4. The Japanese versions of the game pages do not display the same cloud save warning.
    5. If the lack of cloud save support is accurate, players will only have local save data for the Switch 2 Edition of Tears of the Kingdom.

There’s been some confusion surrounding the games labeled as Switch 2 Edition, which are meant to be enhanced versions of the original Switch titles. A key point of uncertainty relates to the support—or lack of it—for cloud saves. It appears that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will not allow players to back up their save data using the cloud feature included in the Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

    Store Page Discoveries

A user on ResetEra first noticed that the European store listings for certain Switch 2 Edition games indicated they wouldn’t support the typical cloud backup for save data linked to the Nintendo Switch Online subscription. The user found this note on the pages for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Super Mario Party Jamboree. Interestingly, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Kirby and the Forgotten Land did not include such a notice.

    Updates and Discrepancies

Most of these European pages seem to have been updated, as the disclaimer has been taken down for all but one title: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This might suggest that Nintendo is actively correcting the information, possibly due to a marketing mix-up. Yet, it’s curious that all other game pages have been refreshed, leaving the Tears of the Kingdom page unchanged. Furthermore, this specific page lacks the “Nintendo Switch Online features supported” badge that appears on the others, and notably, the Metroid Prime 4: Beyond page also doesn’t feature this badge or the accompanying disclaimer.

    Japanese Pages Comparison

The user also pointed out that the Japanese versions of these game pages did not contain any such warning.

If this isn’t just a mistake and Tears of the Kingdom truly does not support cloud save backups, then any progress players make in the Switch 2 Edition will only be stored locally. This means that if players decide to start a new game, they won’t have the ability to back up their save files.

While it might just be an oversight and Nintendo could be in the process of correcting it, currently, the store page for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Switch 2 Edition displays this notice: “Please note: this software does not support the Nintendo Switch Online paid membership’s Save Data Cloud backup feature.”

Details from ResetEra thread, Nintendo European store (1,2,3,4,5), Nintendo Japan store.

Realme is gearing up to launch the Realme GT 7 featuring the Dimensity 9400 Plus on April 23 in China. However, there are indications that a different version of the GT 7 series is being prepared for international markets. A recent listing on Geekbench has shown that the global variant of the GT 7 will come equipped with the Dimensity 9300 Plus and may be a rebranded edition of China’s Realme Neo 7. Additionally, new information hints that the Realme GT 7T for global consumers could actually be a rebranded variant of China’s Realme Neo 7 SE, which was introduced in February this year.

Geekbench Listing for Realme GT 7T

The team at XpertPick has uncovered the Geekbench listing for the Realme GT 7T. While the listing does not explicitly mention the device’s name, rumors indicate that the model number RMX5085 mentioned there will ultimately be marketed as the Realme GT 7T. According to this listing, the Realme GT 7T is set to include the Dimensity 8400 chipset. Although the name of the chipset itself is not listed, the details about the CPU and GPU provided are enough to confirm its presence.

    Specifications of Realme GT 7T

The Geekbench listing indicates that the Realme GT 7T will have 8GB of RAM and run on Android 15. In the Geekbench 6 benchmarks, it achieved a score of 1,132 in the single-core test and 5,668 in the multi-core test. Realme Neo 7 SE Background

Earlier this year, Realme launched the Neo 7 SE in China, powered by the Dimensity 8400-Max chipset. • Galaxy S23 One UI 7 Update Could Be Delayed Again

Galaxy S23 One UI 7 Update Could Be Delayed Again

    Key Takeaways

    1. The One UI 7 update for Galaxy S23 series may be delayed beyond the originally expected date of April 22.
    2. Canadian telecom provider Telus has removed the April 22 rollout date from its website, signaling a possible postponement.
    3. Samsung has paused the update for the Galaxy S24 series due to a bug affecting phone unlocking, indicating a cautious approach for S23 updates.
    4. While the S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra may receive the update by the end of April, the S23 FE is expected to get it in May.
    5. S23 users should regularly check for Software Updates and be patient as Samsung works to ensure a smooth update experience.

Samsung users anticipating the One UI 7 update for their Galaxy S23 series by April 22 may want to prepare for a little longer wait. Canadian telecom provider Telus originally announced this date for the Android 15 rollout, creating quite a buzz among users. However, they have since taken this date off their website, indicating that the update could be delayed, which means S23 owners will have to hold on for the new interface.

    Galaxy S23 Update Expectations

The Galaxy S23 lineup—which includes the S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, and S23 FE—was thought to receive the One UI 7 update this month, with Telus having previously highlighted April 22 for the main models. That information has now vanished, which isn’t surprising considering the rocky road Samsung has had with the One UI 7 rollout.

    Samsung’s Cautious Approach

Samsung has recently halted the update for the Galaxy S24 series due to a troublesome bug affecting phone unlocking, particularly on Exynos devices. It seems Samsung is being extra cautious to prevent the same issues from cropping up with the S23 series, which just joined the beta testing phase in March.

While it’s disappointing to face a delay, this could ultimately lead to a better experience when the update does arrive. There’s still a possibility that the S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra will receive One UI 7 by the end of April, but the S23 FE is already set for May along with other FE models.

What Lies Ahead for S23 Users

If Samsung requires additional time to resolve any issues, it’s likely that all S23 models may not see the update until next month. For the time being, S23 users should regularly check their Software Update settings and remain patient—Samsung is ensuring this update will be worthwhile.
