The Casio G-Shock Urban Utility series has finally made its debut in the US after its launch in Japan last month. This series presents four different models that are built tough and functional while utilizing eco-friendly materials.
Features of the G-Shock Urban Utility Series
Among the new models are the DW-5610UU and GA-B2100LUU. Both models have bezels and bands crafted from biomass plastic, showcasing Casio's dedication to being sustainable. The DW-5610UU, available in green and gray, reflects the classic G-Shock style with its layered bezel, an inverted LCD display for visibility in dim conditions, and a Super Illuminator LED backlight. Meanwhile, the GA-B2100LUU, available in beige and gray, brings a contemporary touch with its dual-molded bezel and a lightweight, carbon-fiber-reinforced case, enhancing its durability and sleek design.
Toughness and Advanced Features
These watches are designed to endure rigorous conditions, featuring shock-resistant construction, Carbon Core Guard protection, and a water resistance of up to 200 meters, making them ideal for everyday use and outdoor adventures. They also come equipped with advanced functionalities, including Bluetooth connectivity that syncs with the CASIO WATCHES app for automatic time adjustments, World Time across 300 cities, reminders, and a phone finder. Tough Solar technology powers the watches, with a power-saving mode that can extend battery life for up to 18 months without exposure to solar light.
Pricing and Additional Information
The GA-B2100LUU models are already on Casio’s US website, although pricing details haven’t been provided. However, it is anticipated that these watches will be priced around $170. The DW-5610UU models, coming in green and gray, are also expected to be available shortly. In addition, Casio has introduced the G-Shock Flame Inside series in the US, featuring four models in two vibrant colorways—Flame Orange and Flame Blue—symbolizing intensity and strength.
