Casio G-SHOCK Urban Utility Watches: Biomass Plastic & Dual-Layer Bezels

Casio has unveiled its latest G-SHOCK Urban utility series, merging street style with urban practicality. This exciting collection is set to hit the shelves in Japan come November 2024. It showcases four innovative models made with environmentally friendly materials, such as biomass plastic for the bezels and straps, alongside a carbon-fiber-reinforced case that provides added strength in the GA-B2100LUU versions.

Features and Design

The DW-5610UU-3 and DW-5610UU-8 models feature a unique layered bezel design in green and gray hues. These watches also include an inverted LCD screen and handy elements like the Super Illuminator LED, ensuring visibility during the night. The GA-B2100LUU models, which come in a beige variant (GA-B2100LUU-5A) and a gray option (GA-B2100LUU-8A), boast a stylish two-tone, dual-molded bezel, enhancing their sleek and attractive look.

Advanced Technology

Equipped with Bluetooth capabilities, the GA-B2100LUU models allow for automatic time syncing and include Tough Solar technology that extends battery life, minimizing the need for regular charging. Additional features across the entire series consist of a stopwatch, countdown timer, multi-alarm settings, and an impressive water resistance of 20 bars.

Pricing and Availability

The pricing for the DW-5610UU models is set at 15,400 yen (about $101), while the GA-B2100LUU models will retail for 25,850 yen (roughly $170), taxes included. This series is a perfect blend of traditional G-SHOCK toughness with modern, eco-friendly materials, making it a great choice for those who want both style and utility in one watch.
