The Casio G-Shock Shiba Inu watches are reportedly set to hit the US market soon. These watches first appeared in Japan back in September as part of a larger celebration of Japanese culture. Recently, Casio has also introduced other collections like the Manga, Ninja, and Nishikigoi Koi Series.
Watch Models and Features
The Shiba Inu series consists of three distinct models: the GA-100SHB-5A, DW-5600SHB-1, and DW-6900SHB-7. The GA-100SHB-5A takes inspiration from the sesame Aka-Shiba, showcasing a brown and off-white color theme and featuring a tiny dog on the inset dial. This model can track 29 time zones, comes with an LED backlight, and includes a 1/1000-second stopwatch along with five daily alarms.
Design Inspirations
The DW-5600SHB-1 is designed after the black Kuro-Shiba, featuring an off-white bottom, while the DW-6900SHB-7 is inspired by the Shiro-Shiba and sports a white exterior. Both of these models have a small Shiba Inu silhouette on the dial, and they reveal a dog's face when the backlight is turned on. They also include handy tools like a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, and flash alerts. Notably, the DW-6900SHB-7 incorporates a Triple Graph beside the LCD display.
Upcoming Availability and Pricing
A report from G-Central mentions that an anonymous source has suggested these three watches will be available in the US starting in November. The Casio G-Shock DW-5600SHB-1 and DW-6900SHB-7 are anticipated to be priced around $130, while the GA-100SHB-5A is expected to retail for about $140. All three models are currently featured on the brand's global website, which hints that they will soon be available in more countries around the world.
