Casio G-Shock Glayer DW-5600 Limited Edition Watch Leak News

Casio is getting ready to unveil a new G-Shock DW-5600 series watch called “Glayer” in Japan. This special edition watch is made to honor the 30th anniversary of the popular Japanese rock band Glay. Recent images of this watch appeared on G-Direct, which is the official store for Glay.

Design Details

The exact model number for the Glayer has not been revealed yet. Still, the leaked images show it features a light beige case and band, with yellow-beige highlights, including the phrase “Glay 30th” on the watch face. Additionally, it will come in a collectible tin box that has a clock design on the top. Marketing photos have showcased Teru, the lead singer of the band, wearing this stylish watch.

Expected Features

Even though the official features haven’t been disclosed, we can expect it to include a countdown timer, multiple alarms, and a stopwatch that measures to 1/100 of a second. There will probably be either an LED or electroluminescent (EL) backlight to make it easier to see the display in dark places. Depending on the type of backlight used, the anticipated battery life is estimated to be around two to five years.

Pricing and Availability

The G-Shock Glay 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Glayer watch is set to be released in Japan at 6 PM JST on February 5th, with a price tag of ¥25,000 (approximately $161). Casio hasn’t shared any information about releasing this watch in other regions just yet.
