The Casio G-Shock DW5000R-1A watch is finally listed on the brand's site in the US. This model made its debut in Japan on December 13th, but it sold out quickly during a pre-order campaign at the beginning of the month.
US Pricing Details
The US listing for the DW5000R, also referred to as the DW-5000R, shows that the watch will be priced at $200. This places it between the DW5600 and GW5000 series models; for instance, the Casio G-Shock DW5600E-1V is currently priced at $49.22 on Amazon.
Classic Design Features
The DW5000R brings back the classic DW-5000 model from the 1980s. Similar to the original, this new version features a stainless steel case and a comparable band design. It includes functions like a stopwatch, countdown timer, alarms, and flash alerts. The watch's display is illuminated by a white LED backlight, which is useful in low-light conditions, and it is anticipated to operate for five years on its CR2016 battery.
Upcoming Launch Dates
As per the product listing, the Casio G-Shock DW5000R-1A watch is set to release in the US sometime in December. This model is also expected to be available in the UK later this year or early in 2025, with a retail price of £179. However, the European pricing for the DW5000R has not been officially confirmed yet.
