AYANEO Unveils Pocket EVO: Snapdragon G3x Gen 2, 120Hz OLED Display

The AYANEO Pocket EVO Android handheld game console has been unveiled, building on the design principles of the AYANEO 2 and 2S models. It features a slim profile (exact thickness not specified) and is lightweight, weighing in at approximately 400 grams. The device is equipped with a 7-inch 1080p OLED display, offering a fluid 120Hz refresh rate and a borderless full-screen design to enhance the immersive gaming experience.

Battery and Performance

The Pocket EVO is powered by a robust Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 processor, which is kept cool by a 15W active cooling system. It also features a substantial battery capacity of over 8000mAh, ensuring extended playtime. Notably, it introduces the industry’s first Android handheld with a large Hall joystick and a diagonal button layout for precise control. Additionally, an HD vibration motor similar to those found in the Nintendo Switch and ROG Ally provides a satisfying haptic feedback experience.

Software and Customization

On the software front, the Pocket EVO comes with the AYAHome desktop launcher and AYASpace management software pre-installed. This suite allows users to customize their gaming experience through performance mode adjustments, device camouflage for discretion, game library management, and button mapping fine-tuning.
