Asus has introduced the ROG Azoth Extreme keyboard, which retains a similar design to its predecessor but carries a significantly higher price tag. The newly released ASUS Azoth Extreme is priced at $499. To put that into perspective, it’s nearly the cost of an RTX 4070, which is around $500 or slightly more.

The latest Asus ROG Azoth Extreme comes with 81 hot-swappable keys and is equipped with "ROG NX" switches. It also features a color OLED display located in the top right corner. The keyboard has an aluminum chassis and supports multiple connectivity options, including Bluetooth, wired, and wireless. Additionally, there is a mini knob below the OLED display that can be customized using the Armoury software.

Weighing in at a hefty 2200 grams with the wrist rest included, the ROG Azoth Extreme is considerably heavier than other keyboards on the market. It boasts an impressive 8000 Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes, a significant improvement over its predecessor's 1000 Hz polling rate. The polling rate measures how often the keyboard’s inputs are sent to the computer. Given that many mice have a polling rate of around 10,000 Hz, achieving 8000 Hz for a keyboard is quite remarkable.
