Asus ROG Phone 9 Launching Nov 19 with Snapdragon 8 Elite Design

Asus ROG Phone 9 Full Specs and High-Quality Renders Leaked

Following the announcement from Asus about the ROG Phone 9's launch on November 19, a report from 91mobiles indicates that the new model might not be a significant upgrade over the previous version.

Specifications of the Asus ROG Phone 9

The ROG Phone 9 is said to maintain the same impressive 6.78-inch AMOLED screen, offering a 165Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080. The camera features are reportedly quite similar, boasting a 32MP front camera alongside a triple rear configuration that includes a 50MP main sensor, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro lens, replacing the telephoto lens found in the ROG Phone 8.

Minor Updates and Features

In terms of battery capacity, there’s a slight bump from 5,500mAh to 5,800mAh. Charging will be supported by a 65W adapter. There's still some uncertainty regarding whether the device will support wireless charging, though it’s likely, as the previous ROG Phone 8 included this function. It’s expected that the new phone will also feature a 3.5mm headphone jack along with a Hi-Fi DAC for enhanced audio quality.

The Role of AI in Enhancements

Additionally, Asus is set to incorporate AI technology into the ROG Phone 9 series. The phone is believed to utilize AI for various tasks, such as call translation, transcription, generating background images, recognizing objects through the camera, and upscale gaming resolutions.

91mobiles has also released some renders of the phone in Storm White and Phantom Black. While a hands-on video of the design has surfaced, these renders provide a clearer perspective on the phone’s appearance. The design seems to remain consistent with the previous model, featuring a secondary display on the back. Reportedly, its dimensions are 163.8×76.8×8.9 mm, keeping it quite similar in size to its predecessor, weighing in at 227 grams.
