Asus has introduced the PA27JCV monitor, which seems to attract creative professionals in need of a large, precise display with high resolution. From a customer perspective, it looks like Asus is aiming at those who might think about the Apple Studio Display but want to save some cash. The current price of the PA27JCV is $799, significantly less than the $1,499 price tag of the Apple Studio Display. Nevertheless, there are clear distinctions in features; the Apple Studio Display includes a 12 MP webcam, microphones, and six speakers, making it ready for video calls right away. The PA27JCV lacks these built-in features, but users can easily connect devices through the included USB 3.2 hub.
Display Quality
The 27-inch Asus ProArt Display 5K PA27JCV boasts a resolution of 5,120 x 2,880 and is claimed to cover the entire DCI-P3 color space. According to reports, this Calman-verified display has a color deviation of Delta E below 2. It should be noted, though, that this isn’t a gaming monitor; it has a refresh rate that maxes out at 60 Hz and a gray-to-gray response time of 5 milliseconds. For image inputs, the display supports HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, or USB-C, and can deliver up to 96 watts back to the source via USB PD. However, it doesn't have a wealth of image input options. The USB hub provides four ports and includes a KVM switch. On top of that, there's an ergonomic stand along with an ambient light sensor.
