The custom computing specialist SilentPC has expanded its fully fanless small-form-factor lineup with a sealed, passively cooled system built around the Akasa Pascal chassis. Measuring 9.3 by 13.4 by 3 inches, the enclosure carries an IP65 rating, certifying it as completely protected against both dust and water ingress.

Durability meets desktop-class performance

More than half of the total system cost is attributed to the Akasa enclosure, which doubles as a high-efficiency heatsink capable of silently cooling AMD’s latest Zen 5 desktop processors. Customers can choose the 6-core, 12-thread Ryzen 5 9600X with a 5.4 GHz boost clock, or the 8-core, 16-thread Ryzen 7 9700X with a 5.5 GHz maximum boost. The robust environmental sealing makes the platform suitable for installation in boats, vehicles, or other demanding locations where conventional active cooling would be impractical.

Internal expansion and storage

At the core of the system is an Asrock X600TM-ITX motherboard, which supports up to 96 GB of DDR5-6400 memory across two SO-DIMM slots. Storage flexibility comes from two PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD connectors and a pair of SATA ports, with SilentPC offering optional configurations reaching 8 TB of total storage.

Connectivity and display outputs

Port selection includes one USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) port, two USB-A 5 Gbps connectors, one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Video output is handled by an integrated dual-core Radeon GPU driving HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 interfaces. Wired networking relies on a Realtek RTL8111H Gigabit Ethernet controller, while wireless connectivity can be added later via an available M.2 2230 slot.

Pricing and default configuration

Persistent component shortages affecting both memory and storage, combined with the substantial cost of the specialized Akasa case, result in a premium starting price of $3,350. The base configuration pairs the ASRock board with a Ryzen 5 9600X processor, 32 GB of Crucial DDR5-5600 RAM, a 1 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD, a Windows 11 Home license, and a one-year warranty.
