ASUS has unveiled a collection of new gaming hardware in China to mark the 20th anniversary of its Republic of Gamers brand. The lineup includes a high-performance PC controller and a versatile new monitor, the Godlike 27 Plus, which stands out for its ability to run at three distinct resolution and refresh rate combinations.
Triple-mode panel adjusts for speed or detail
The Godlike 27 Plus is built around a 4K Fast IPS panel with a native refresh rate of 240Hz. Its triple-mode function allows gamers to switch to 400Hz at QHD (2560 x 1440) or push up to 488Hz at FHD (1920 x 1080). This approach maintains a relatively sharp image even in the fastest mode when compared with some recently announced alternatives that reach 540Hz but drop resolution to HD (1280 x 720).
ASUS says the display delivers crisp motion clarity across all three modes, supported by intelligent pixel enhancement. Several AI-driven gaming tools are integrated, including a dynamic crosshair and dynamic shadow enhancement, which adjust in real time to improve visibility during gameplay. Wired connectivity is handled by DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C.
Additional specs and market timing remain unclear
Many hardware details for the Godlike 27 Plus have not yet been disclosed. Pricing and a specific launch date for China or international markets are still under wraps, though further announcements are expected shortly. The broader celebration lineup also features a PC controller with an 8K polling rate, catering to players who prioritize ultra-low input latency and precise control.
