Anbernic RG408: Unique Retro Gaming Handheld with Dual Screens

Anbernic RG408: Unique Retro Gaming Handheld with Dual Screens

Anbernic has launched a variety of handheld gaming devices this year. However, a recent rumor from NITTRX indicates that the company might be working on something quite different. It's important to mention that the YouTuber has said, "nothing is confirmed yet." Therefore, there's a possibility that the design shown below might never actually be released.

Exciting New Design Features

Reports suggest that Anbernic is creating a gaming handheld featuring dual screens, with the larger one able to slide up, exposing the smaller one beneath. According to the image below, these screens would have resolutions of 960 x 720 pixels and 640 x 480 pixels, both maintaining a 4:3 aspect ratio. The device is also expected to include the standard set of action buttons along with a reasonably sized d-pad.

Specifications and Controls

In addition to this, the rumored RG408 is said to come equipped with two analog sticks that can twist to uncover select and start buttons. Unfortunately, there is still no information on when the RG408 might be launched. Instead, Anbernic has recently unveiled updated versions of the RG35XX SP and introduced a new model called the RG406V. Furthermore, the company might be getting ready to roll out a collection of wireless controllers inspired by the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C, which is currently priced at $29.99 on Amazon.
