The three-day extravaganza attracted participants from over 60 countries, demonstrating the widespread appeal of the Bored Apes. Daniel Alegre, CEO of Yuga Labs, emphasized the significance of their Asian community, suggesting a strategic shift towards markets with active NFT engagement.
Partnership with BMW
In collaboration with BMW, the festival provided a unique experience where attendees could capture moments with a car featuring their own NFTs. This not only highlights the mainstreaming of NFTs but also showcases the innovative ways in which they can be utilized for real-world interactions.
This event is particularly timely for Hong Kong, as the city has recently experienced a talent drain in the cryptocurrency industry due to more favorable regulations in other jurisdictions.
